The Lagos State Police Command has denied reports that Afro singer Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, was re-arrested in connection with his colleague Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Earlier reports suggested that Primeboy was re-arrested on Tuesday while visiting the State Criminal Investigation Department at Panti, Yaba.

Primeboy, who was initially arrested due to the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s case a few months ago, has been regularly visiting the SCID since the investigation began.

A viral report on Tuesday claimed that he was re-arrested and held by the Lagos police command during his visit.

However, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, refuted the report on Wednesday, stating that Primeboy was allowed to return home on Tuesday and report back on Wednesday.

When asked about the situation, the PPRO simply stated, “False. He was allowed to go home and report back today.”
