Military Personnel To Face Court Martial Over Drone Strikes That Killed Kaduna Villagers

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) announced that two personnel involved in the drone strikes in Tudun Biri community in Kaduna State will be court martialed.

The military accepted mistakes in the drone strikes that resulted in the deaths of many innocent citizens in Tudun Biri community.

The Director of Defence Information, Major General Edward Buba, made the revelation during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

He stated that investigations have been completed and the drone strikes were deemed a case of mistaken identity.

The strikes occurred on December 3, 2023, resulting in the deaths of several civilians in Tudun Biri village in the Igabi local government area of Kaduna State.

The DHQ spokesman mentioned that those responsible will be subjected to a military court martial.

Although he did not provide specific details about the disciplinary action, he confirmed that the two individuals involved will face military court martial for their actions.
