Les Aigles of Mali completely outplayed the Super Eagles in their 2-0 win in Marrakesh on Tuesday night.
Mali started the game strong, controlling the ball, making accurate passes, and taking advantage of their fast-paced and intense style of play. Their hard work paid off when El Bilal Toure scored after 18 minutes, giving them a well-deserved 1-0 lead.
The Super Eagles tried to get more possession but struggled to break through Mali’s solid defense, leading to Mali maintaining their lead at halftime.
In the second half, Nigeria tried to find their groove but kept giving away fouls, wasting time and disrupting their flow.
With the game coming to an end, Les Aigles scored again through Kamory Doumbia in the 87th minute, securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Nigeria.
After the international break, the Super Eagles are gearing up to face South Africa and Benin in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June.
Nigeria is currently in third place in Group C, with two points from two matches.
