Luton Town striker Elijah Adebayo has expressed his desire to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

He was born in England to Nigerian parents, making him eligible to play for either country.

However, the 26-year-old striker is unlikely to be called up to the England squad in the near future.

Despite playing his entire career in England, Adebayo has never been selected for any of the country’s youth teams.

His best chance of playing international football is if the Super Eagles consider him good enough to join their team.

Adebayo has shown his connection to Nigeria by carrying the Nigerian flag to celebrate Luton Town’s promotion to the Premier League last summer.

In a recent video, Adebayo, who is currently dealing with a hamstring injury that may sideline him for the rest of the 2023-2024 season, expressed his strong desire to play for the Super Eagles.
