In the 86th minute, Kai Havertz scored the winning goal for Arsenal, securing a crucial three points in their quest for the title by defeating Brentford 2-1.

Havertz headed in a cross from Ben White to break the deadlock in a tense match that Arsenal had controlled.

Declan Rice had given Arsenal an early lead with a header, but a mistake from Aaron Ramsdale allowed Yoan Wissa to equalize just before halftime.

Ramsdale made amends in the second half with two important saves, while Rice hit the crossbar as Arsenal pushed for a winner.

Havertz’s late goal marked Arsenal’s eighth consecutive victory in the Premier League, propelling them to the top of the table.

Arsenal’s next match is against title rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
