The governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, paid a visit to his predecessor, Willie Obiano, who was taken to court on Wednesday for allegations of fraud.
Obiano is currently facing trial for allegedly embezzling N4 billion during his time as governor. As a result, his passport has been confiscated.
Soludo visited Obiano in Abuja on Thursday and had a productive discussion with him, although the details were not disclosed.
Soludo expressed his hope that Obiano would overcome his difficulties with the help of God’s grace.
The Anambra governor shared the news of the visit on his verified Facebook page and mentioned that he was accompanied by Sly Ezeokenwa, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
