The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped to 30th place in the 2024 Men’s World Ranking, down two spots from their previous position of 28th.
The ranking, released by the Federation of International Football Association on Thursday, shows that the Eagles are ahead of the 2023 CAF African Cup of Nations winner, Cote d’Ivoire, and seven-time AFCON winner, Egypt.
After the AFCON tournament, the Eagles played two friendly matches. They won 2-1 against Ghana but lost 2-0 to Mali.
Allub Times reports that the Eagles are ranked third in African football, behind Morocco and Senegal.
Argentina, the winner of the 2022 World Cup, is in first place, followed by France in second. Belgium is in third place, and England’s Three Lions are in fourth.
