Ex-Cameroon Manager, Conceicao Applies To Be Super Eagles Coach

Antonio Conceicao, the former head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, has applied to coach the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

According to a report from SCORENigeria, the Portuguese coach is one of the top candidates who have shown interest in leading the three-time African champions.

Conceicao was in charge of Cameroon from 2019 to 2022 and led them to a third-place finish at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

With experience coaching in Portugal, Romania, and Saudi Arabia, the 62-year-old tactician is a seasoned professional.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently announced that the position of head coach for the Super Eagles is open and is accepting applications from interested coaches.

Jose Peseiro, another Portuguese coach, was the most recent head coach of the team.
