Governor Sheriff Oborevwori visited the Okuama community on Monday to assess the extent of the damage four days after military officers and civilians were killed in the Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Journalists were not allowed to cover the governor’s assessment tour of the community by the military Joint Task Force.

The JTF blocked the main entrances to Okuama with an armoured personnel carrier tank, preventing vehicles, people, and media personnel from entering the community.

However, Oborevwori was greeted by the leader of the military JTF, Major General Jamaal Abdulsalam, and they had a private meeting that lasted about an hour.
