A Kano High Court has sentenced Geng Quandong, a 47-year-old Chinese man, to death by hanging for the murder of his Nigerian girlfriend, Ummukulsum Buhari.
Quandong was found guilty of culpable homicide under Section 221 of the Penal Code Law of Kano State and was convicted accordingly.
The incident occurred on September 16, 2022, when Quandong stabbed his 23-year-old girlfriend at her family residence in Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano.
