Real Madrid managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday night, despite a lackluster performance against RB Leipzig.

Meanwhile, Manchester City easily advanced to the last eight with a dominant display against Copenhagen.

The Premier League team scored two goals in the first 10 minutes, securing their spot in the quarter-finals with a 6-2 aggregate win.

Madrid faced a lot of pressure from RB Leipzig but managed to hold on and secure their place in the next round.

RB Leipzig had several chances early on but failed to capitalize, with Loïs Openda missing two great opportunities to score for the visitors.

After the break, the Bundesliga team continued to pose a threat, causing Real Madrid to appear unsteady in defense.

Despite this, the home team managed to maintain their lead as the second half progressed.

Real Madrid, known for their ability to come back in this competition, countered Leipzig and scored a fantastic goal through Vinicius Junior, increasing their aggregate lead.

However, the celebration was short-lived as RB Leipzig scored from a corner shortly after, with Willi Orbán heading the ball into the net to reduce Real Madrid’s lead.

In Manchester, Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez scored early goals to secure a comfortable win before Erling Haaland added another goal.

Despite a brief response from Mohamed Elyounoussi, Copenhagen was outplayed over two matches as the European champions continued their quest for a treble.

City is currently in a close race for the Premier League title with Liverpool and Arsenal, and will face Newcastle in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Pep Guardiola made several changes to the team to prepare for the upcoming match against Liverpool.

City’s victory was also helped by some poor defending from Copenhagen.
