Arigo Sacchi, the former head coach of Italy, has criticized Victor Osimhen for his poor performance in Napoli’s loss to Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Napoli, the Serie A champions, were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League after being defeated 3-1 by Xavi’s team.

Napoli lost the Round of 16 match with an aggregate score of 4-2.

Osimhen scored Napoli’s only goal in the first leg but struggled against youngster Pau Cubarsi in the second leg.

The Nigerian player only managed to get one shot on target throughout the entire game.

“What surprised me the most was the little involvement of Kvara and Osimhen, the two most-awaited players,” Sacchi wrote in his column for La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’s true that they didn’t get much service, but at the same time, they didn’t move much, and they did it in the wrong way, so it was easy for opponents to stop them.”
