Nigerian sensation Burna Boy has recently added a Billboard Music Award to his ever-expanding collection.

The talented singer, who already secured his first Grammy earlier this year, has now been recognized as the top Afrobeats artist by Billboard in the United States.

During his acceptance speech on Sunday, he dedicated this achievement to Africa and all the artists emerging from the continent.

“This is dedicated to Africa and every artist coming out of Africa now,” he said accepting the award on Sunday.

Another Nigerian artist, Rema, was also honored at the event for his widely recognized song “Calm Down,” which has achieved remarkable success in terms of streaming and chart performance.

Upon receiving the award for the best Afrobeats song, Rema expressed gratitude towards his fans and referred to the prize as a “a celebration of unity and the global domination of Afrobeats”.
