Breaking: Yoruba Nation Activist, Sunday Igboho Returns To Nigeria After 3 Years In Benin Republic [VIDEO]

Published:

Popular Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Igboho, has come back to Nigeria to attend his mother’s funeral.

The announcement was made by Igboho’s spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, through a statement and a video on social media.

In the video, Igboho was shown at a mortuary, and Koiki confirmed that the activist was heading to Igboho Town for his mother’s final burial.

Igboho had been away from Nigeria since 2021, seeking refuge in Benin Republic after being wanted by the Department of State Services (DSS) for alleged terrorism charges.

He faced legal issues in Benin Republic, where he was arrested while trying to travel to Germany. After spending two years in a Beninese prison, he was recently released.

Igboho’s activism focuses on advocating for the Yoruba Nation and speaking out against attacks on farmers in the Southwest.

The DSS had declared him wanted, accusing him of engaging in activities that threatened national security. Igboho’s mother passed away while he was detained in Benin Republic.
