Nigerian Instagram personality Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, has denied allegations of naira abuse.
He entered a plea of not guilty to the three charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The social media influencer was brought before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday.
The EFCC accused Cubana Chief Priest of mishandling the naira at a social gathering, which goes against the Central Bank Act of 2007.
Following his plea, the court granted him bail set at 10 million naira, with two reliable sureties who are employed by the federal or state government at grade level 16 or higher.
These sureties must own property, which will be verified by the court.
Cubana Chief Priest must also surrender his passport to the court.
The bail conditions must be met within seven days, during which time he will be in the custody of his lawyer. If he fails to appear as required, he will be sent to a correctional facility.
