Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta Expresses Satisfaction with Kai Havertz’s Performance Despite Criticisms

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has affirmed his contentment with the performance of Kai Havertz, who has faced a series of criticisms since joining the club.

It is worth noting that Kai Havertz became a member of Arsenal on July 1, 2023, following a hefty £75 million payment to their London rivals, Chelsea, during last summer’s transfer window.

Since then, the 24-year-old German attacking midfielder has participated in 18 games across all competitions, managing to score only one goal and provide an assist.

The German international has played in every one of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season. However, many Arsenal fans are not happy with his performance.

Coach Mikel Arteta, on the other hand, believes that the German attacking midfielder has been performing well. He also pointed out that Kai Havertz has been outstanding in some games, including Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday, November 8.

“I’m really happy with him. He’s doing very good”, coach Mikel Arteta said as quoted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

“For me, against West Ham in the first half he was the best player, Newcastle one of the best… and against Sevilla, we saw that again”.

Kai Havertz’s current contract with Arsenal will expire on June 30, 2028. He made his international debut for Germany’s national team on September 9, 2018, and has since scored 13 goals in 40 appearances.
