Yussif Basigi, the head coach of the Black Princesses of Ghana, praised his team for their impressive comeback victory against Nigeria.

In the final of the women’s football event at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday night, the hosts defeated the Falconets 2-1.

Nigeria took the lead in the 28th minute thanks to Loveth Edeh, who capitalized on a mistake by goalkeeper Afi Amenyeku.

Despite this setback, the Black Princesses fought back and scored goals through Tracey Twum and Mukarama Abdulai.

“I’m so proud of this team. We never stopped believing, even when we went behind,” Basigi was quoted by CAFonline.

“To win a final like this in front of our home fans is an incredible feeling. These girls are champions in every sense.”
