Hakim Ziyech’s intended move from Chelsea to Saudi Arabia has been called off after Al-Nassr discovered knee problems.
The Morocco international apparently had a medical with Cristiano Ronaldo‘s club, which found knee problems. According to Footmercato, Al-Nassr are now debating whether to bring in the winger.
Ziyech experienced similar problems in January, when he had a medical at PSG and then underwent more testing. A prospective loan transaction eventually fell through due to a clerical error.
Due to his limited playing time at Chelsea, Ziyech hoped to leave the club during the forthcoming transfer window and join teammates Kalidou Koulibaly and N’Golo Kante in the Middle East.
While Koulibaly joined Al-Hilal, Kante joined Al-Ittihad, where he played alongside Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.
The 30-year-old had only played in 24 matches for the Blues in all competitions and had only 928 minutes of game time. He did not score a goal but did offer three assists.
