Popular Nigerian skit maker Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, widely known as Brain Jotter, has revealed his past experience with cross-dressing for content creation but ultimately decided to discontinue it.
Speaking on Channels TV’s program “Rubbin’ Minds,” hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Brain Jotter explained that although he received applause for his performances as the character Madam Ogadi, he found cross-dressing unsustainable in the long run.
He shared how a friend suggested he continue creating content as a cross-dresser, but he declined, citing his previous experience.
Brain Jotter expressed his belief that cross-dressing is only viable if done exceptionally well and highlighted the inherent challenge of maintaining authenticity while portraying a gender other than one’s own.
He, however, noted that while audiences may initially enjoy such content, sustained success would be difficult to achieve, especially considering the incongruity of wearing women’s clothing while having facial hair.
