The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will swear in the 11 newly appointed Justices of the Supreme Court on Monday, February 28th.
Festus Akande, the Director of Press at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, confirmed this on Friday.
“The newly appointed 11 Justices of the Supreme Court will be sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court,” Akande said.

The Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters confirmed the nominees after reviewing a report during a plenary session.
Tinubu requested the Senate confirm the nominees recommended by the National Judicial Council (NJC) to fill vacant positions left by the retirement and resignation of some justices.
The confirmed nominees are Justice Haruna Tsammani (North-East), Justice Moore Adumein (South-South), Justice Jummai Sankey (North-Central), Justice Chidiebere Uwa (South-East), and Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme (South-East).
Additional confirmed nominees include Justice Obande Ogbuinya (South-East), Justice Stephen Adah (North-Central), Justice Habeeb Abiru (South-West), Justice Jamilu Tukur (North-West), Justice Abubakar Umar (North-West), and Justice Mohammed Idris (North-Central).
Senator Tahir Monguno (APC, Borno), the chairman of the Senate Committee, stated in his report that the nominees met the necessary qualifications and experience for the positions, and there were no petitions against them.
